ABOUT MEI'm Lauren Kulp and well as far as I can remember, I have always loved art. I would always get art kits and art supplies for Christmas and Birthdays. The medium of oil pastels was my most favorite when I was younger because the way the colors blended so easily, drawing sunsets, flowers, clouds in the sky and everything I saw in nature. As I got older my mediums changed and I also partially departed from creating what I saw and focused on creating what feelings or ideas I had in my head and heart. I found that there were no limits to the endless mediums at my disposal such as pens, pencils, paints, spray paints, markers, a camera and even my computer creating digital media art and on occasion going back to an old favorite, oil pastels. As a result, of all these new mediums I opened my eyes to, the art I created was and still is a amplification of my individuality. I find that art can not be described with words, but with mediums. The stroke of a paint brush, the shading of a pencil, the click of a shutter from a camera and sometimes the click of a mouse on a computer. I create something everyday because it's my unwavering passion to create, for someone to say to me do not create art, is a impossible statement, it is a involuntary response and you never stop doing what you love. When someone takes the time to look at my art and enjoy it, I find it very humbling. If someone says it inspires and motivates them to start creating art that is the most immense pinnacle compliment to ever hear from anyone. That is exactly what I want to hear the more art in this world the better. This website Angelic Nightmare Art is a collection of what manifested out of my heart and mind. It is a variety of paintings, drawings, photography, multimedia art and writing. The name of the site matches my style of work the Angelic represents the peace signs, flowers, trees and nature and the Nightmare represents skulls, broken hearts and dark colors. So if you have reached this far in the website, I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to click on the link to my website and scroll through my work, hope you enjoyed it and........
